Picaroon is a 1963 Glasspar Avalon skiff pictured on the top of this page.  I use it for day trips to photograph ships, sailboats, waterfowl and anything.  Picaroon means a scavenger pirate that collects bootie from wrecks and ghostships. Bill Tritt, at Glasspar also built a fiberglass car body before the Corvette in 1952.
We sail old Crescent sloops, first built in 1953 by a Ford engineer as an experiment in fiberglass. The Crescent sloop was the first and currently oldest fiberglass racing one design class in the world. The boats are based at 95 St. Jean, Detroit Sail Club in Detroit, Michigan.  My Glaspar 16' has a history since 1952 as a very highly produced fiberglas boat that made boating affordable for many folks in the U.S.
We sail Crescent sloops, Laser, J-105, Morgan 27, Vangard 15 and other boats in Lake St. Clair, San Francisco Bay and other venues.  Lake St. Clair is also excellent for fishing, daysailing, and swimming.
